Autumn has been knocking on our doors for weeks now, and it finally stepped in. Although I am sad summer had to leave so early in the beginning of September, taking away the sunshine and all that time at the beach. However, fall has always been a great season for fashion and make up. It’s the perfect time to apply a little more make up (because finally it won’t sweat off) and be a slightly more extra. In addition I love layering my outfits, wearing cosy jumpers and soft scarfs with a lovely pair of black chelsea boots.
But since I started wearing a little more make up to create an illusion that I still have my tan left from the summer, I had to step up my skin care routine to make sure my face stays healthy and glowing. This doesn’t mean I buy more expensive products or use much more, I simply just reach for the good old face face scrubs and masks to rehydrate my skin.
I collected my number one skin care products that I have been using a ton this September so I can give you an honest review about them and explain why I love them so much and keep them where I can reach for it the easiest way.
Rituals: The Ritual Of Sakura:
I like to start off my skin care by using a face scrub so I can completely remove my makeup and any dead skin cells that need to be washed off by the end of the day. I don’t use a scrub everyday because it can harm your skin on the long run; any blemishes or scars will heal slower and the constant scrubbing can cause flaking and dryness. So I use this scrub from Rituals gently on my face every few days when I feel the need to cleanse my skin. It contains rice milk that softens the skin and gives it a healthy glow, while the cherry blossoms from the Sakura tree symbolises rebirth of nature and it’s extract purifies and relaxes. I found this company on our trip to Vienna. I was very pleased with the customer service and all the products I bought, which by the way they all have an affordable price.
Biotherm: Wonder Mud:
I love a great face mask that has multiple factors which work amazing on the skin. Autumn has always been the time when I renew my skincare routine a little, therefore I thought I should invest into a face mask that I can use to refreshen my skin whenever it feels tired and oily. I spotted the Biotherm Wonder Mud face mask which was also on sale when I bought it (this was also a reason I bought it, since Biotherm is rather expensive) so giving it a try seemed like a great idea. It minimizes the pores by deep cleansing the whole face only under 3 minutes. It has a very pleasant scent, but nothing chemical. The first time applying it, I basically got addicited; it beats the dullness of the skin after a long day, nourishes and diminishes visible pores. In two weeks, I already saw visible changes on my skin. It got rid of clogged pores and my skin looked so much happier.
L’oreal: Micellar Water:
We have all been a great fan of the Garnier Micellar Water once, so why not be a huge fan of the L’oreal Micellar Water aswell? Just as affordable as efficient. It sweeps of any makeup left on your skin easily and is also very gentle around the eyes. I came across many make-up removers that made my eyes itchy or I had to rub it a lot for it to take off my mascara which left me with red, puffy eyes. But this L’oreal one became a holy grail of mine ever since. Not only does it remove the make-up, but it leaves my skin toned and cleansed. I also realized it fight acne and pimples if I use it every night and morning to refresh my skin.
Clinique: Moisture Surge:
I am positive nearly every make-up and skin-care lover has heard about this new moisturiser, since it has been all over the internet from bloggers reviewing it and loving it so much. Well I stood in the line. I knew I had to pick it up as soon as I ran out of my old moisturiser, which thankfully I didn’t have to wait for a long time for. I was very excited to try it out and had high hopes for this product, therefore I would’ve been especially disappointed if I didn’t like it. The first time I applied it, my skin felt brand new, as if it gave life into my face. It isn’t oily but is still a wonderful moisture fix, therefore it is absolutely fantastic for all kinds of skin types. In addition, it helps prevent acne and in only one week, I could see how much it helped repair my skin after it being exposed so much to the sun. My skin looks dewy and glowing throughout the day, even with make-up applied over the top of it, and hydrates and plumps during the night. I can only recommend this product to any age.
