Make up palettes. What’s not to love? They have a ton of shades for eyes, cheecks, and lips. They come in different sizes and application form; some are perfect for travelling, others either creamy or powdery, but you can definitely find the perfect one.
Spring has finally decided to make an entrance (it was about time) and I had the urge to look for some new palettes that I could make a good use of these upcoming sunny days. Every palettes gave me a different vibe; one reminded me of the sea and the beach, the other of the garden of a French villa and the third one had the shades of the nights of New York.
I am looking forward to create new looks with all these palettes for a cute dinner, a nightout with the girls, or for a lazy day when I don’t have so much to do. I am also going to play around with it and do some really bold colors using unique shades that you wouldn’t use often.
1.Dior: Bain De Mer:
This small and cheerful palette has one of the most vibrant colors that remind me of the spring with it’s lovely blues and the bright yellow and pink. The middle bronze helps you blend the shades together to prevent any harsh lines. The yellow can be used to highlight under your brows and the inner corner of your eye. To finish off the look, I would use the blue shades to create a light, smokey look and apply the pink under my eyes. A very nice look for the day and you can easily make it stronger by adding more product on it to wear it for a party.
2. Stila: Matte ‘n Metal:
A very popular eyeshadow palette this season, but there is a reason why. Stila has created the basic palette that everyone needs in their make up collection. It contains very natural shades, some pinks and some neutral ones, just as lighter and darker ones. It has 6 matte and 6 metal colors which gives you the chance to choose from a big variety of looks. You can go with the rosey colors or get a little edgy with the metals while keeping it chick. In addition, Stila is known for making high quality products; very good pigmentation, no fallout and long lasting. I have been eyeing this palette for some weeks now and I will make sure to grab it as soon as possible!
3. Becca: Blushed With Light:
Personally, I have troubles every morning chosing the right blush for myself. It depends on a lot of things, I swear…how much sleep I had, what shirt I am wearing, or how much time I have spent under the sun…I normally have my go to blush which helps me out in any situation, but it’s nice to have a palette made up from 3 beautiful shades that work with anything. Becca has been making the best cheek products ever since, so I am confident this won’t disappoint anyone.
4. Anastasia: Glow Kit
Anastasia is not only famous for it’s eyebrow products, but for their highlighters too. Very pigmented and what is the point of a subtle highlight? I want a glow that can be seen from outer space and this palette can give me that. All the shades are perfect for all types of skin and skin tones and it can complete a very basic look making it very extra. However, I know some people like a small amount of glow to keep it natural, you can apply less with a fan brush. This will seem as if you have radiant, healthy skin.
5. L’oreal: Color Rich La Palette:
So I have mentioned all types of palettes; eyeshadow, blush, highlighter, but it seems like lip palettes aren’t as popular. In contrary, L’oreal came out with some wonderful lip colors with an amazing price. I have seen my mother using L’oreal lipstick ever since I was a small girl, and I have taken up her obsession over their lippies, and I am proud to say my drawers are filled with them, therefore I was so sure that these kits are going to be just as gorgeous as their other lip products. And I was right! Very easy to apply it with the brush that comes along with it, and the shades are wonderful too. One of the palette has more of the nudish tones and the other one has daring and sexy shades, both very useful for different occasions.
