For a while now, I have seen people review the new L’oreal products and I couldn’t wait to join them too. I have been really excited for their new collection and itching to get my hands on them. And today, finally the day has come. I saw that my local drugstore had stocked up and I couldn’t resist so I bought the Infallible Sculpt and the True Match Genius 4-in-1.
L’oreal True Match Genius
I am incredibly glad someone had come up with an idea to make a make up product that works as a primer, foundation, concealer and powder too. It is just so convenient, you just throw it in your bag and you’re ready for the day. I was surprised how silky the product felt when I first tried it out. It glides on smoothly and has a fantastic coverage too. Although I didin’t like the sponge it came with so I didn’t know how to apply it. I tried picking it up with a brush, but that didn’t work out that well, so I tried with my own sponge and it did a better job. However, in my opinion, the best way to apply it is to use your fingers and then blend it out with a sponge (not the one that comes with it). It leaves a very nice finish, doesn’t stick on dry patches and covers very well. I still like to use some concealer under my eyes since I do have really dark circles, but I don’t mind. Although by the end of the day I feel like it can get oily on the T zone, but keeps it’s coverage.
L’oreal Infallible Sculpt
The L’oreal Infallible Sculpt is actuall my first contour product so I was eager to try it out. I never thought I needed to contour, just becuase it takes my time and I don’t think I need as much make up through the day. But when I saw it on the shelves, I thought why not give it a try. Starting off with a cheaper contour palette would give me a better idea how to use it and experiment with, rather than jumping in and buying an expensive one, then realising, that contouring is not for me. However, this product was really nice. The contour is not as heavy as I thought it will be, it’s much more lighter which gives a natural shade under the cheekbones and jawline. It is buildable, since it’s lack of pigment. This is probably the first time when I am glad a product isn’t as pigmented. So if you want to go for an immediate bold and defined face, I suggest you keep looking. The highlight amazed me aswell. I love how it doesn’t contain any shimmer and gives healthy glow. It is much more pleasant than a shimmery one, plus it gives a natural dewiness. It also covered up my dark circles very well, which made me even more glad that I picked it up, since I never came across another product that did something similar.
I am extremely pleased with these two products, and I am thankful for L’oreal for coming up with these new esscentials! Especially for a drugstore product, these did outsandingly well!
