I am extremely excited that the sun came out a few weeks ago and since then it’s been getting warmer and warmer. To “celebrate” this, I had bought some new make up products. I had gone for nude shades to keep it natural and fresh, I don’t want anything harsh and strong for a spring day-time look. The products are light and feel great on the skin; not too heavy nor too dewy. Lately I have been loving a glowing look, with pinkish cheeks, shimmery highlight and plump lips. I also add eyeshadow to my eyes to give them more dimension. Although the whole make up process in the morning takes longer than usual, I don’t mind since I love playing around with beauty products and trying out new looks. Lately I have been adding some shimmer to my eyes or a glossier lipstick that doesn’t flatten out my face as much as a full matte look would.
For my eyeshadow I love using the L’oreal Palette in the color Nude Beige. It has matte tones aswell as shimmery ones so you can mix them up a bit to find your favourite composition. I prefer to use matte in the outer corner of my eye and some shimmer in the middle and the inner corner to make them seem larger. In addition learning a few tricks with eyeshadows (how to bring out your eye color, making the eye look larger, or simply blending the colors well together) can take away the tiredness and instead give you the look as if you really did have that well deserved beauty sleep. In this L’oreal Pallette I could find every color that I needed and wanted to use for this spring and summer! It’s texture is absolutely amazing, very smooth and silky, plus the pigmentation is amazing aswell. I have been really impressed by these shadows and I know I will be going back to the drugstore to pick up their other palette very soon!
And as for my cheecks I have been using the MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Higlighter in the color Soft and Gentle. I had gotten this from my best friend who knew that I have been eyeing this highlighter for ages but could never put my hands on it either because they were out of stock, or I didn’t have any money on me, so you could image how excited I was when I first saw the packaging! Since then, I have been using this nearly everyday and I make sure everybody sees the highlight on my cheeckbones! This highlighter is definetely one of the best ones out there, that can give you a natural glow with only a smaller amount applied, or you can go for a bronze goddess look and brush on more than you would. It is very pigmented an has quite a lot of shimmer, so if you aren’t a fan of that, I suggest you stay away.
For my blush I choose a cheaper one from the drugstore. It is from SHE, a make up brand that is only available in some parts of Europe, however it can be easily bought through Amazon. It has a cheaper price than a normal drugstore brand would have, but they do have some really amazing products that I prefer over high end ones. This blush is one of them. It is a peachy pink color with a very little shimmer, but on the skin it can barely be seen. This shade is perfect for the spring and summer and gives a natural flush to the face.
Lastly, I have been obsessing over a L’oreal lipstick. It is Eva’s nude that I have bought awhile back in the winter, but have been using it more recently since the weather had gotten better and I wanted a buttery nude on my lips. Before I bought this product, I have always been looking at it at the store, but never actually bought it. But then I have read many great articles about this exact lipstick and finally decided to buy it. It is a lovely nude with a hint of pink added to it. It keeps everything simple and fresh.
All in all these are the current products that I have been using lately every morning. I know I will be using these until I finish them. The products I mentioned above are all amazing and their prices are very good too so make sure you drop in the stores to have a quick look at them to give them try youselves!
